Fuie: An air cleaner utilizing cutting-edge photocatalytic technology.
Next-generation ultra-high sensitivity indoor light-responsive titanium dioxide photocatalyst air cleaner.
Photocatalysts are environmental purification materials that generate a strong oxidative power on their surface when exposed to light, such as sunlight or fluorescent lights, allowing them to remove harmful substances like organic compounds and bacteria that come into contact with them. The filters used in fuie are coated with a next-generation photocatalyst technology called ultra-high-sensitivity indoor light-responsive titanium oxide, developed by Dr. Yokono, a researcher in indoor photocatalysts. This next-generation photocatalyst overcomes issues related to the cancellation of oxidation and reduction reactions, as well as the reduction in functionality under indoor light environments that do not include ultraviolet light. The antibacterial effect of the next-generation ultra-high-sensitivity indoor light-responsive titanium oxide photocatalyst has been shown to reduce Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli by approximately 99.9%*1, and to decrease the infectivity of bacteriophage Qβ by approximately 99.9%*2, demonstrating top-class performance not only in antibacterial properties but also in antiviral capabilities among current photocatalysts. Additionally, its effects are sustained each time it is exposed to light. *1 Based on results after 24 hours under visible light exposure following inoculation (Table 1) *2 Based on results after 4 hours under visible light exposure following inoculation (Table 2) ○ This is the effect of the photocatalyst itself and does not prove the effectiveness of the product itself.
